I enjoyed “Gravity” a lot. Bullock was great. The effects were great. The score was amazing. Lots of fun. The basic premise was strong and a lot of the little moments were very engaging, but the overall plot was fairly basic. I highly recommend that you check this one out in IMAX.
I saw it in a theatre that had assigned seating and I mistakenly chose seats in the very back rather than seats in the middle (the ones that open up to the centre aisle, thus allowing for a hasty exit at the end of the flick, or if you need an emergency washroom or snack break). I like the centre aisle seats because I really don’t like asking people to get out of my way. So, sitting in the back left me with a social anxiety, which sort of fed into the anxiety experienced by the characters in “Gravity”, though obviously to a much lesser extent.
