LIKE my comic half as much as I like the “Pacific Rim” trailer (so, about a half million LIKEs)

Internet people! You should find and watch the “Pacific Rim” trailer, the new film by Guillermo Del Toro, he of “Pan’s Labyrinth” and “Hellboy” fame. It features giant monsters emerging from a dimensional portal deep within the sea, as well as humanity’s last ditch effort to destroy ’em: giant robots.

It also seems to feature GLaDOS from “Portal”…  Not just a phonetic homage, but the actual actress using the same voice modulation as in “Portal”. I love that game, but I don’t know why they’ve chosen to replicate the performance completely. It doesn’t affect my excitement, though.

Also, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” opens tomorrow. I feel as though that title is erroneous, but I’ve discussed that before. I’ll withhold judgement until I see it.

Sidenote: Why doesn’t that Denny’s tie-in for “The Hobbit” include a dish called “Griddles in the Dark”? Missed opportunity, Denny’s.

Google Led You Here: “Dirty Tomato Bum” Seek elsewhere, Internet Searcher.

What’s the Joke, Projectionist? The “Pacific Rim” trailer generates excitement large enough to cause massive explosions.
