LIKE my comic, by Hera!
The CW is doing a television series featuring Wonder Woman called “Amazon”. It’s a little early to judge, but I don’t really think this is the best format for the character, though I’m glad that she’s getting a bit of attention. The network is enjoying some success with “Arrow”, their series about archery-themed masked crusader Green Arrow. Sidenote: I recently realized (and mentioned on Twitter) that the current Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Green Hornet are all being played by Canadians. Interesting, no?
Anyhoo, after David E. Kelley failed to bring Wondy to your television sets, I expected that DC Comics would realize that she was better suited to a big budget big screen adaptation, setting her up to tie in to a future “Justice League” film. “Amazon” could be good if they pick a solid creative team and cast the right Diana, but it’ll be a challenge.
Movies! “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” opens on Friday and I can’t wait. Hopefully, I’ll also get to check out that “Star Trek Into Darkness” preview while I’m there…
Google Led You Here: “Hell Toupee Movie” I don’t think there was one, Internet Searcher. But I think it was an episode of “Amazing Stories”.
What’s the Joke, Projectionist? I’m not sure, but I think that those “ear headband” things are inherently funny.
