LIKE my comic, and I’ll thank you in my Oscar speech in fifty years.
So, the Oscars are wrapping up as I type this. There haven’t been a lot of huge surprises or upsets. Billy Crystal’s been doing a great job, but his initial musical act was undermined by some sound issues. I’m especially thrilled that Dean Pelton is now an Academy Award winner (as I was last year when the lead actor from “Short Circuit 2” won for Best Documentary).
That Cirque du Soleil bit was impressive, if not especially entertaining. It didn’t really have much of a connection to the show, but it’s nice to see that they’re trying something new.
I’ll bet dollars to donuts that “Artist” is walking away from with the big prize. I’ll find out in about twenty minutes or so.
Google Led You Here: “alftand parchemin des anciens” What? I have no idea what this means.
